Description
Learning Objectives: After the event the Attendee will be able to:
- List steps in preparing and beginning a group.
- Identify issues in maintaining a group.
- Assess and create interventions to address issues of terminations of group members and possibly the group itself.
- Discuss and demonstrate therapeutic interventions to work with a "difficult co-therapist" and the "difficult patient."
- Discuss working with complex and diverse group membership composition.
- Develop techniques for teaching inpatient group therapy to psychiatric residents in a psychiatric hospital.
